Additonal Information:
Pole Dancing has been around longer than many know, dating back to the height of the Great Depression in the 1920's
when woman danced around the tent poles of traveling fairs. In 1990,
a Canadian woman, Fawnia Mondey, began teaching the art of Pole Dancing to everyday women as a form of exercise. She also
made the first instructional Pole Fitness DVD.
Because of actress,
writer and producer, Sheila Kelley, Pole Fitness is now sweeping our nation as an empowering new workout. It
was during the research and preparation for her role as a stripper in one of her films that Sheila discovered a new passion
resulting in a fit body.
